Jojo Erholtz is a Helsinki based film director, writer and editor. She holds an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute where her thesis film TAPE was awarded at the Oscar-qualifying Outfest Film Festival, the Palm Springs ShortFest and the Hamptons International Film Festival. Jojo is currently developing her debut feature film with Aamu Film Company. The film examines an experience of loss, and how it inevitably shapes one's life.

As a television director, Jojo’s recent credits include the third season of the internationally sold crime series DETECTIVE MARIA KALLIO, based on the characters by Finnish bestselling author Leena Lehtolainen. LARPPI, a playful youth series broadcasted by YLE and produced by Wildhog Productions is set to premiere in 2026. Jojo has also directed the third season of the popular Finnish dramedy series EX-ONNELLISET (LIVING WITH MY EX). 

Prior to her directing career Jojo worked as a freelance editor on a wide range of documentary, narrative and commercial projects. Jojo holds an MA in Film Editing from the National Film and Television School (UK), and is the recipient of the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award for Best Editor. Her editing credits include a handful of award-winning short films as well as features 70 ON VAIN NUMERO (70 IS JUST A NUMBER) and A MOMENT IN THE REEDS, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival.
